Asia's biggest electronic music festival. Hundreds of thousands of people. A content team stretched thin — and then, two days before the festival opened, the lead videographer had a family emergency and had to leave.
Suddenly I was managing coverage with a depleted crew across a venue the size of a small city, for an event that doesn't pause for anyone.
I restructured the shooting schedule that night — prioritising moments that couldn't be recreated, letting go of ones that could be covered another way. I briefed the remaining team on exactly what we needed, where, and when. We ran tight and we ran smart.
The pre-event content we'd produced had already been building momentum on Instagram. By the time the festival opened, the reels were at 6.5 million views. The campaign film we delivered after captured something real — the feeling of being inside something that large, that loud, that alive.
